Whilst hungover and on the hunt for one of North London’s amaaaaazing Breakfast Club restaurants I stumbled across this little gem. Being unable to function on that particular day I returned for a more productive visit recently with my bezzie Mackam (see urban dictionary) matey. Annie’s vintage costume and textiles shop is nestled down a cobbled street in the heart of Angel’s shopping district and houses dresses and accessories that will make you wish you were born 100 years earlier when you could take afternoon tea on the lawn every day whilst wearing dresses that are all graceful and floaty-like. Yep, I pretty much imagined a whole scenario for every single dress in that place that involved things like a picnic by the river or dances where boys were dashingly handsome and said things like “tally ho”.
This is the place to go if you’re looking for a fur wrap for a ball or if you’re on the look out for something uber glamorous for your next black tie event or even If you’re searching for a wedding dress that’s a little different then head on down to 12 Camden Passage, London N1 8ED where you’ll be able to delicately thumb through their rail of 20’s era wedding dresses. I would like to add one caveat that immersing yourself in such exquisite items doesn’t come cheap, this isn’t the most inexpensive vintage shop but this is not your average vintage shop! Everything is of such incredible quality and devoid of yucky nose offending musty smells!
Here are some piccies to wet your vintage appetite. Apologies that they’re not the best, it was roughly -100c and my fingers were freezing off severly depleting my photograph-taking ability.
