New shoes!
For Poppy’s Birthday we decided to get her her first real pair of shoes. I say real but I actually mean pre-walker soft-bottomed shoes.
If buying anywhere other than high street I found them to be ridiculously expensive (some high street stores too!). Seriously, why so expensive? They barely even constitute a shoe! But as we weren’t getting her anything else (apart from a booze-filled first birthday party) I thought what the heck, lets spoil the girl!
I’m so pleased I did as I seriously love these shoes. I chose the classic t-bar style of the Robin by Early Days* in Ecru which are super soft and go with absolutely everything.
They are hand made (hence the price) just down the road in Oadby, Leicestershire from super soft Italian leather upper and flexible faux suede base. You can’t buy direct from them so I bought Poppy’s pair from London store Trotters* for £27.99 however they seem to be a bit low on sizes at the moment so you can also get them from Children’s Salon for £29.
*Since publishing this post Trotters have removed the Robin shoe from their site and now only sell the very similar Alex by Early Days.
The Trotters site lists the sizes in European so here’s a conversion chart to make life easier:
Size Guide
Eu 17/Uk 1 = 3 – 6mths
Eu 18/Uk 2 = 6 – 12mths
Eu 19/Uk 3 = 12 – 18mths
Eu 20/Uk 4 = 18 – 24mths
Sorry for the rubbish pics of Poppy wearing the shoes, she moves so fast it’s nigh on impossible to get a good photo!
Utterly edible! xxx
