Taylor Swift at British Summer Time Hyde Park

Taylor Swift at British Summer Time Hyde Park

At the end of June I was lucky enough to see Taylor Swift at British Summer Time in Hyde Park. I’d seen her perform at the O2 on her Red tour last year when I was 8 months pregnant with Poppy…

…she was good then but this time she was FREEKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

In fact, the whole event and all the artists were amazing but TayTay was literally off. the. hook.

The weather was hot hot hot and the vibe was chilled festival. Perfect. There was a champagne tent, huzzah! Admittedly at £11 per glass it was extortionate (when a bottle of the same champagne in the supermarket costs £20, gulp) but you did get to keep the plastic champagne flutes which will be perfect for the picnic hamper.

There was also a fab cocktail bar. We shared a pitcher of delicious Porn star martinis. Mmmm.

The stage and screen set up was fantastic. We had the standard tickets and didn’t feel like we missed out on anything.

There was so much going on in addition to the acts. Even a mini carnival!

We were all so surprised at how amazing John Newman was and that Ellie Goulding has a far more powerful voice than imagined! She also has incredibly toned legs. Seriously, she was leaping around like a gazelle but not one bit wobbled!

Sun setting over a 65,000 strong crowd in Hyde Park was a pretty special site.

This girl was just spectacular! She not only gave an outstanding performance but during her little interludes she spread an amazingly powerful and positive message, that no matter what, be yourself and believe in yourself. There were an awful lot of young teenagers in the crowd and it was visible just how powerful that message was to them. Good on you Taylor for being a brilliant role model.

We danced and sang our hearts out.

Then Taytay dropped the most ridiculously humble brag – “Oh, here are my internationally famous friends Serena Williams, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Martha Hunt (not sure who she is either), Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid”.

RIDIC.

I wanted to share this with you because I honestly think that whoever you see at the BST events and no matter your age, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time. The event is so well set up and run with so much to see and do. It totally surpassed my expectations and I shall definitely be getting tickets as soon as the 2016 line up is released.

I was lucky enough to see her opening night in little Bossier City, Louisiana and she was phenomenal!! I’ve always been a T. Swift fan and expected that her concert would be great, but had no idea 🙂
