After the horrendousness of the last few days/weeks today was totally freaking glorious. Oh sun, how we’ve missed you!
Obviously this called for all the summer feels when lunching with my Ma to celebrate her birthday today. Alfresco dining and a summer outfit to match…although, at 20 degrees I wasn’t ready to whole heartedly throw myself in to summer dress territory so this outfit was pretty damn perfect. My little buddy was obviously the star of the show, flirting with every single person in ear shot/eye line. He’s nailed the wave+bye on command which is sure to melt even the coldest of stone cold waitress hearts.

I picked this bubble sleeve top up from H&M last weekend when passing the door of the Leicester High Cross Centre shop. I spotted it and knew it would be amazing. Sadly, having a 3yr old with us who decided to play ‘hide from Mummy and Daddy in the clothes racks’ (seriously, heart attack moment) meant that I didn’t have time to try it on. But at £17.99 I was willing to take the risk.
It’s as good as I’d hoped it would be and more. It sits just off the shoulders, having just enough of an elastic band at the back so that it sits in the correct position without having to be constantly readjusted like some of my other off-the-shoulder tops. The fabric is kind of waffly which hides any lumps, bumps and wee-babies (sorry!) beautifully! The arms have a lining with a loose elastic sleeve (not sure if that’s the right description) which is very comfortable, has plenty of room and you can’t feel when wearing. It’s cut pretty wide with lots of room for boobs. I’m wearing a size 8 which I’d say is true to size leaning towards being roomy on the torso.
Jeans are high rise skinny fit from Zara and like all Zara jeans, come up quite small. I’m 5’4.5″ and I haven’t rolled these up or had them altered but I don’t think the length is generous.
I bought these earrings from TK Maxx a couple of years ago but have found these Ted Baker Double drop pearl earrings which are the spit and in the sale!

The sandals are Boden and are ridiculously comfortable, come in three different colours and they also happen to be in the Boden clearance sale at the moment!
Gold disc necklace is the Gigi personalised gold disc necklace from Argent of London. I have 2x small discs with the children’s initials, have a larger one with ‘F’ on that I had from pre-children days and am waiting to get a larger disc with the husband’s initial to complete the family. They’re available in two sizes and are engravable on both sides. They regularly have 20% discount codes running through the year so sign up to their mailing list and sit tight, there will be one along soon!
Watch is my favourite Olivia Burton Chrono detail with mink strap and rose gold detail. It goes with everything and I always get comments about it.
Lunch at Gusto in West Bridgford, Nottingham was a total delight as it always is there. Food, staff and company were on point! We ate from the set menu which delicious and a bargain!
With the volume of the baby ever-increasing we decided to relocate before we outstayed our welcome, heading on to Oliver Bonas where I spent a fortune on brilliant cards and then on the Jojo Maman culminating in a walk through the beautiful West Bridgford park in the sunshine. Bliss.
Fingers crossed for many more warm summer days!
