Autumnal outfit details

Autumnal outfit details

Poppy is a total dress fiend at the moment. If you follow me on Insta then you’ve probably seen her little flat lays that she puts out every day. Honestly, I have no input with them and she has complete creative control and consistently chooses long sleeved dresses with tight. I’m so using her as my style inspiration this season and have been stocking up on colder weather appropriate dresses. This is partly due to being totally fed up with wearing jeans, partly down to finding some go-with-everything ankle boots earlier in the season and also partly down to absolutely loving the change in season.

The beautiful colours, the total legitimacy to wearing chunky knits and layers ALL THE TIME and who doesn’t love a love burner or open fire? I have been so ready for the change into richer tones for clothes. There’s a massive trend for red this season but orangy red is the only red that suits me and that seems to be better suited to Summer so I’m embracing all the greys, dark blues and blacks and accenting with rich luxe textures.

Autumn Zara statement earrings

I’m really loving the trend for statement earrings at the moment. If you need some inspo then no one rocks them better than these ladies:

Mine are from Zara (now sold out 😩 ) and I cannot describe how much I love them and how many compliments I get everytime I wear them. I’ve found another pair from Zara that are similar and a pair from River Island that are fab.

The dress is also from Zara and is such a bargain at £29.99. The lining is lovely and thick and the detailing of the frayed edge and covered buttons make it feel a lot more luxe. It also has pockets!

Small word of warning though, it is short! I’m 5’4.5″ and it felt just acceptable on me.

The coat is also Zara (weirdly, all were bought at different times! I should buy shares in the place) and is perfect for adding warmth and upping the smartness without making the outfit feel too stuffy. Love the gold button detailing on the pockets and the frayed piping.

My bag is also Zara but annoyingly I can’t find it anywhere online. This suede bag is the closest to it in their current stock and I love the colour of this Jigsaw velvet pouch.

The grey suede chelsea boots are my favourite sale purchases from H&M. They’re currently in stock and still in the sale!

Tights are some old faithfuls from Primark.

Primark are great for winter tights, and I love rocking a winter outfit with a pair of their dark red thick tights. I just can’t get enough of autumnal fashion! #coolmumclub

I do love the Autumnal colours out but I’m with you – I do also love a bit of grey check at this time of year and you’re rocking it mama! Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub xoox
