Have I mentioned that Poppy will only wear dresses at the moment? Such a basic kid 😜
I kind of made a mistake by buying her a beautiful nightdress from The White Company (currently in the sale) and she is now OBSESSED and only wants to wear the nightdress to bed. Only having one causes A LOT of pre-bedtime negotiating. As she has pretty much grown out of all of her pjs I thought I might be a nice parent and get her a couple of nighties to restock her drawers.
Living in a cold house they have to have long sleeves and be really nice and long for maximum warmth but most importantly *swishiness* (obvs).
After putting out a request for suggestions on my Insta Stories I got loads of fab suggestions and have also done some internet scouring so thought I would compile my favourites.
One of the recommendations I got was for Childrensalon which I hadn’t even thought of for nightwear as assumed it would be really quite xxy. They actually have a great price range and you know that the quality will be amazing for the brands that they stock. One that really stood out was this adorable Powell Craft Maddie nightdress with embroidered fairies. 100% cotton.
However (!) on the Childrensalon website it is £34 and on this website it is only £19.95! Quite a saving and from what I can see they are exactly the same product.
This Mini-la-Mode rose print nightdress is my favourite from the entire list. I just adore the dainty print and traditional details. It’s the most expensive on the list but Mini-la-Mode quality really is exceptional and the pima cotton they use it the softest I’ve ever felt. 100% pima cotton.
I’ve been so impressed with the White Company nightie that started this whole ball rolling. It washes so well and is so well designed. This fairy print nightdress isn’t quite full sleeve but think it would still be lovely and cosy. 100% cotton.
I visited the Em&Lu stand at Spirit of Christmas and the quality is really fantastic. The fabric is quite thick and cosy and each item looks like it’s made to last. I adore the colour combinations and really struggled to choose just one print to include in the list but the animals on this safari design just pipped the others to the post. 100% cotton.
Cath Kidston was the most highly recommended from my Instagram request and I was really pleasantly surprised by the price point. This Ballerina nightie is so sweet. 100% cotton.
A brand I hadn’t considered at all was Boden even though I adore their children’s ranges and the quality of their clothing is always amazing. This animal print nightdress is adorable; I love the soft pink. 53% cotton 47% modacrylic.
Best value
I’ve already raved about The White Company but their sales are AMAZING! This pretty Isabella nightdress is almost half price and there are lots of sizes still available. I love the slightly longer length and gathered sleeves. 100% cotton.
John Lewis always pull it out of the bag with a nigh on unbeatable combinations of design+quality+price. This pack of striped and floral nighties is no exception! Such a bargain! These are 100% polyester though rather than cotton though.
Such sweet designs and amazing value in this 2x pack from Mothercare. These are also 100% polyester rather than cotton.
Some lovely prints, who says they can’t still be stylish while sleeping.

Ha so true
I love a nightdress!! They remind me of my childhood. My mum calls them ‘goonies’ and now Isla does too and it makes me so happy! We have a few from The White Company outlet and love them 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with #WMKWW x
