Ok, deep breath…and share!
I would say I’m a fairly confident person but I am so far out of my comfort zone wearing swimwear let alone sharing photos on the internet 😱 But this bikini from UK Swimwear actually fits and actually makes me feel good in it 🙌🏻 so I’m taking one for the team 😜 to share it and tell you about the website that I found it on.
When I’m buying swimwear I don’t have a long list of requirements but they are kind of essential 😆: Fit well, hold me in, not be see through, keep its shape after washing. Not a long list but harder than you’d think to achieve. I have roughly 6x bikinis that are currently sat, un-loved and destined for the bin, because I’ve let one or more of the rules slide just because I like the colour or print.
Through trial and massive error (and lots of wasted pennies) I’ve learnt that swimwear is one wardrobe staple that it is well worth investing in. I’ve absolutely adored some inexpensive pieces but no matter how much I loved the colour or pattern, the cuts have been unflattering and ultimately made me feel self conscious and so they’ve ended up going in the bin.
Honestly, when UK Swimwear got in touch and asked if I’d like to do something with them on swimwear I had kind of fallen out of love with swimwear in general, mostly through trying and failing to wear high street styles. But I was really impressed with the range on their site. The styles are really beautiful whilst actually catering for real bodies with styles that would actually work to hide the muffin top rather than accentuate it and scoop up the deflated balloons so they resemble boobs rather than spaniels ears. That’s pretty much what I feel this bikini has done. Hidden all the worst bits (it has great bottom coverage)(but I’m not brave enough to show you that 😝) and accentuated what remaining assets I have 😂
Annoyingly the style I’m wearing has sold out but I really like this classic black bikini and this beaut of a patterned one or this glamorous white one.
I’ve styled the bikini with a velvet kimono from Anthropologie in the sale last year (similar here) and sunnies from TU Clothing that I bought last week which I can’t find online but are still in store. Earrings are my favourites from thealexedit.com and necklace from Argent of London.
*This Anita bikini was gifted by UK Swimwear however all thoughts and opinions are my own*
